E.C. Nickel (or just "Nickel" as he prefers to be called) is a prolific Brazilian creator with a huge portfolio of many, many self-contained short stories to his credit.

Back in the day when Midnite Comics was still alive and kicking, he brought us three stories - the fantasy story Endless Battle, SciFi story The Long Vigil (also online here at BVC) and this title: Immortality.

His stories were already fully inked and lettered when we received them and so we could see that his artwork was excellent. There were, however, two important differences between those originals and the versions you'll see here. Firstly they were in B&W and secondly, they were written in Portuguese!

As you'll see from the credits page, colours were added to the comics by one of the founders of Midnite Comics (Oscar Cavazos) while I took on the task of translating the script into English. The final result turned out pretty well, I think!
