I've always been a fan of this page! I love the sense of character etched by Nickel into every line on Ephemer's face. And the blue of the ship meeting the orange planet makes this a great transition page between the two colour schemes.

The name of the mythical alien race gave me a few problems. It translated from the Portuguese pretty much directly as the "Immortals" but that seemed a little obvious to me. I tried "Eternals" for a while but that seemed a little over-used too. Finally, I decided upon the "Infinites". A small change but mine own!

I can't remember now what the torpedoes were originally called. I do know, though, that I wanted them to be "nihilum torpedoes" instead! This way we have a neat thread linking the source of Ephemer's wealth with everything that happens next.
