Welcome to "Speakeasy"! This is a short comic which, originally, was even shorter!
Speakeasy was written a few years ago as a five page story for a horror-themed anthology which, as far as I'm aware, never made it to completion.
Some time last year, however, I hooked up with the insanely talented artist Wes Huffor who decided it would fit very neatly into his own anthology comic, Charnel House.
In the first instance, Wes drew the comic as a five pager - just the way I'd written it. It was immediately clear, however, that the amount of detail in his wonderful illustrations was being lost. Undeterred, Wes restructured the whole comic and made it into the eleven page version we have now.
Enjoy this while it lasts and then, if you're still in the mood for more of Wes's brilliant art, don't forget you can buy print copies of Charnel House (including Speakeasy and four other excellent horror stories) direct from Wes's website!
